Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

An effective treatment with immediate results that treats and prepares your skin for future improvement. Dramatic results are seen over time with continued maintenance.

A Microneedling Pen is used to create controlled and safe ‘micro-channels’ - that are great for penetration of topical solutions - in the skin whilst protecting the top layer of the skin. This process triggers your body to repair these “injuries” stimulating collagen and elastin production. Resulting in visually softer lines and an overall change in the skin's texture, appearing more rejuvenated and hydrated.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Does Microneedling hurt?

In terms of pain, it is a generally tolerable treatment that lasts for 20-30 min. A numbing cream is applied before the procedure begins. Making the process comfortable and more tolerable depending upon an individual’s pain tolerance.

    Is there any downtime?

Microneedling has really no significant downtime! There is some redness that can take a couple of days to go away, but that is about it.

Is it safe for people with active acne?

In the case of active acne or cystic acne, the specific area with acne is avoided. It is best to book a consultation session in case of severe acne.

Can Microneedling be added to a facial?

No, Microneedling cannot be added to another facial.

Is Microneedling recommended for those with compromised skin barrier?

If the skin barrier is compromised, Microneedling is not recommended. It is best to restore your skin barrier and revisit this treatment later.

Results, when will I see any?

You will see results within four to six weeks depending on your body's cell turnover. During this time, your body will produce collagen + elastin and fill the micro-channels. Revealing younger, healthier skin.

How many sessions are needed to get rid of acne scarring?

It is recommended to have a series of sessions to see results. Generally, 3-4 sessions are recommended and in case of deeper scarring, you may need 3-6 treatment sessions.

It’s best to schedule your treatments 4-6 weeks apart, to fully fill in and restore your skin.
