Who was most impactful in your life or who shaped your views of the world today? Who was your influencer? What would you say to them?
My high school basketball coach was my greatest influencer at a very important time in my life. I was passionate about basketball, and she encouraged me to pursue it, pushing me to work harder, stay focused and never give up. I have carried these skills throughout my life and applied them with my family as well as in business and sports. She shaped my thinking, taught me what is important, and how not to behave. What have your customers taught you?
My customers have taught me greater listening skills as they provide insight into what they want and don’t want. Behaving professionally makes clients respect you. Then they come back and tell everyone they know about you. I have learned to be more flexible when following up with clients and adjusting to their changing schedules. Finally, I have learned the power of Connection. With today’s powerful social media, clients want to hear from you through different channels regularly, but not too often.
Top tip for those looking to work in the Spa and beauty industry?
My inspiration comes from seeing our clients happy when they receive high-quality results and feeling good about themselves after a facial. Knowing we are making a difference in people’s lives is very motivating.
Your best life hack for a busy woman?
Some of my best life hacks for a busy woman include a calendar and task list. They are essential for survival. Setting boundaries is equally important since you cannot consistently work 10 hours a day. I also learned it’s important to find ways to relax your brain and your soul. Finally, Crockpot meals!

Always wear sunscreen.

Constantly looking for new techniques to serve customers, different ways to increase revenue and careful ways to reduce cost.
What would be your advice to all the young women out there who aspire to become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses?
I would say one’s mindset matters the most; believe in yourself and everything else can be learned.
