    This non-abrasive exfoliant uses a 10% food-grade Lactic Acid and a natural base of algin and aloe vera to effectively dissolve dead skin cells, reduce blemishes, fine lines, and unclog pores, while maintaining healthy, hydrated skin. 

    Ideal for flaky, dull, and oily skin types.

    Key Ingredients:

    • Lactic Acid: The most gentle type of AHA, lactic acid reduces the incidence of comedones by deep cleaning pores and rejuvenating skin. Reduces the appearance of facial lines by stimulating Collagen production, without dehydrating or over-sensitizing the skin.
    • Algae + Aloe Vera base: Helps to hydrate skin + reduce sensitivity.

  • Ingredients

    Water/Eau, Glycerin*, Lactic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Algin, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf powder*

  • Directions
    • Evenly spread (don't rub) 2-3 pumps over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye and lip areas.
    • Leave on between 10-15 minutes to exfoliate and brighten.
    • Use 1x-2x per week in the evening.

     Removal:

    • Option 1. Remove by rinsing with cool water and follow with your regular evening skincare routine.
    • Option 2. After 10-15 minutes, apply moisturizer and/or oil over the Lactic Acid and leave on overnight.
      • Note: The acid will be mostly neutralized by the oil/moisturizer, but this application does provide a deeper exfoliation and may not be suitable for highly sensitive skin. 

  • Tips
    • Some tingling may be felt upon application but if skin starts to burn, remove immediately with cool water.
    • Avoid applying to freshly shaved skin or 'open' skin of any kind.
    • For thick or very congested skin, switch between using a manual scrub and Lactic Acid.
    • Can be used more frequently as a spot treatment.
    • Always follow with an SPF the next day.
    • Used to treat flakiness, blemishes, blackheads and ingrown hairs.

    Precautions:

    Use only as directed. Avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. It is recommended that prior to exposure to the sun, users cover areas where AHAs have been applied with sunscreen. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.

Great new skincare step!

I started using Pure and Simple’s Lactic Acid Plus the other week and I was immediately impressed with the product. My skin has recently been seeing some clogged pores and blackheads, so as part of my evening skincare routine, I added in the lactic acid as a step, and I honestly immediately saw and felt results. In the morning, my face genuinely felt more clear and softer than the night before. It really did feel like the lactic acid helped to rid my face of some of the dead skin cells that have been lingering. I’ve been using the skincare step now a few times a week in the evenings, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it works for me long term.

Brighter, Clearer-Looking Skin

I've been using the Lactic Acid Plus for a couple of weeks, and I've noticed that my skin looks brighter and clearer. I like that it helps exfoliate dead skin cells while the formula also contains ingredients like glycerin and aloe vera. It's been a lovely addition to my skincare routine, especially when my skin needs a little extra help with dullness and texture. Best addition to my night time

I’m adding @pureandsimpleca Lactic Acid Plus 10% to help gently exfoliate dead skin cells, improve the look of uneven texture and dullness, and reveal smoother, brighter-looking skin. Its hydrating base of aloe vera and algin makes it a lovely addition to an intentional skincare routine.

Apply at night , starting twice a week and increasing only as your skin tolerates it and remember to wear SPF the following day.

Great for my skin very lightweight

I found this to be perfect for my skin it wasn’t heavy and felt refreshing. I like that the bottle is glass it’s well made and pumps easily, the formula feels great on skin a little tacky at first but once it dries it’s fine. I used it for a couple nights and saw my skin improve from the redness. I have had a black head that has gone done thanks to this formula. I will keep using it to see if it helps my skin in the future.
