• From The Source: Avocado

I love things that are indescribable, like the taste of an avocado or the smell of a gardenia. – Barbra Streisand

The avocado tree is native to Mexico and Central America. It’s part of the flowering plant family Lauraceae, along with cinnamon, camphor, and bay laurel. An avocado is a fruit with green-skin and a fleshy body that may be pear-shaped, egg-shaped, or spherical. Numerous studies show that it has powerful beneficial effects on health. Known best as the creamy main ingredient in guacamole, they are high in healthy monounsaturated fats and a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
