You’re a Naturopathic Doctor that also practices acupuncture. Why did you decide to blend these two practices together?
Acupuncture is just one of the natural therapies that Naturopathic Doctors are trained in to address not only the physical aspect of a person, but also the mental and emotional aspects. Other natural therapies include: Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine (herbs and supplements), Homeopathic Medicine, Physical Medicine, and Lifestyle Counselling. Natural therapies are often more effective when combined, to assist the body’s healing response.
What exactly is Cosmetic Acupuncture, and what makes it so appealing?
Cosmetic Acupuncture offers a holistic approach to the prevention and correction of the signs of aging on the face. This non-surgical procedure will help rejuvenate and revitalize your whole body. Cosmetic Acupuncture improves blood and energy circulation, nourishes your skin, and increases natural collagen production to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, and dull skin. From a western perspective, when acupuncture needles are inserted into the skin, it stimulates the production of elastin and collagen fibers, improves circulation, and relaxes tension in the muscles.
The results you get from Cosmetic Acupuncture is what makes it so appealing. You will be glowing from the inside out. Some of the benefits of Cosmetic Acupuncture include:
Minimizes fine lines
Reduces frown lines
Stimulation of Collagen
Skin feels firmer and more supple
Improves skin tone and texture
Overall health improvements include digestion, immune system, energy, relaxation + stress reduction, as well as reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression.
What is your favourite part about your job?
It’s a privilege and honor to be able to make a positive difference in a person’s life. The best part is the process of providing genuine, compassionate service that results in healthier individuals.
How do you personally define beauty?
Beauty is a combination of inner strength and physical appearance. Inner strength stems from confidence and love for one self, as well as an understanding of your body and how it works, so that you can make the best choices to live a happier, healthier life– which in turn, influences your physical appearance.
What is your favourite/must-have Pure + simple product?
The Pure + simple Organic Vanilla Cleansing Powder because it’s a cleanser, a mask, and exfoliator all in one! My skin feels nourished and rejuvenated after using it!
