Dr. Kristen Ma, ND
Dr. Kristen Ma, ND is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with over 15 years of experience treating skin conditions. She is the author of the award-winning book “Beauty, Pure and Simple”, which combines her knowledge as a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with her in-practice experience.
Her journey with holistic skincare began as a Certified Esthetician. She was named “Best Facialist in Toronto” by Toronto Life Magazine, highlighting her technical expertise. She co-founded Pure + Simple skincare and spas and spent over a decade developing facial treatments and formulating organic skincare products. Dr. Ma created the Holistic Vanity Line – a product collection aimed at treating specific skin disorders: rosacea, acne, and skin environmental damage.
Believing in going to the source, Dr. Ma ND honed her acupuncture skills in China, working at the Guangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and completing her Ayurvedic education in Bengaluru, India in 2006. She combines her knowledge of Eastern Medicine with a biomedical approach, having worked at Brampton Civic Hospital in Canada’s only Naturopathic-Hospital partnership.
She is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, Alive Magazine and writes her own holistic beauty column in Tonic Magazine.
Registered Massage Therapist
Vashti’s approach to massage therapy is fueled by her curiosity of the human experience from a holistic perspective. Her view of pain as a manifestation of imbalance, friction, or lack of ease in the system has led her on a journey of learning from many Energy Healers and Body Workers. Vashti feels strongly that by restoring ease in the body, one can experience greater well being physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Through listening to her clients' needs and applying her intuitive approach, she strives to provide an experience of deep relaxation and restoration.
Registered Massage Therapist
Marianne is an experienced massage therapist with a varied and individualized approach. She graduated from Sutherland & Chan Teaching School and is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2001. Her goal is to thoughtfully tailor each massage session to the guest's needs and requests, personalizing the experience for every individual. She integrates a variety of modalities in each session, such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish, deep tissue massage and stretch therapy to alleviate muscle tension and promote deep relaxation.
She has specialized in pain relief of the head, neck, and shoulder along with chronic pain and dysfunction associated with long hours of office work and regular computer use. She practices hot stone massage, aromatherapy, and Indian Scalp massage.
Kevin Cai, R.TCMP, R.Ac
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist
Kevin comes from a family heritage of Chinese medicine practitioners in Beijing, China. He practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Beijing Hospital for 12 years before moving to Toronto. He has taught TCM and Osteopathy at Loyola College and specializes in pain relief, cupping therapy, moxibustion, facial acupuncture, tuina, and Thai Massage.
With clients spread all over the world, Kevin uses TCM as a tool to help them achieve a variety of health + wellness goals by combining different treatment methods to create unique and customized treatment plans.
Alisha Morgan is a Certified Professional Coach. She received her coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) which is a program accredited by the International Coach Federation. She is also an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, certified by iPEC to guide clients through the powerful Energy Leadership process.
She is the author of an e-book called Conquer Confidence: A Guide For People Who Are Ready To Shine and she is an American Confidence Institute certified Confidence Coach. Alisha’s writing has been featured in the online publication Positively Positive. In addition to being a certified coach, Alisha is also a registered physiotherapist. A desire to support people beyond their physical health is what drew her to coaching. She is very passionate about personal development. She loves working with people who want to live life to the absolute fullest potential and who need support in figuring out just how to do this.
Dorit has always had an avid interest in alternative medicine, which motivated her to study Reiki and energy medicine, earning her first and second-degree level certificates in 2011. Dorit's passion for healing inspired her to become a Reflexologist, earning her RCRT certificate in May 2013. As a Holistic Practitioner, Dorit is continually developing her knowledge and skills by attending seminars and workshops. Dorit welcomes the opportunity to discuss how Reflexology may be of benefit to you and is happy to work alongside your G.P. and Naturopath. Reflexology does not work in opposition to conventional medicine and welcomes the partnership with your healthcare provider.
Tara is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who graduated with honors from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), as well as a Certified Reiki Practitioner. She offers one-on-one nutrition consultations that focus on your individual health goals, as well as custom meal plans to help you get started. Taking a body-mind-spirit approach to nutritional counseling, Tara’s passion is to share the knowledge of how the food we eat, the thoughts we think and what we choose to surround ourselves with, impact every aspect of our lives. Her intention is to help you attain the highest level of optimal health by working with your body's innate wisdom. She believes that we all hold the power to heal ourselves and that even simple and gradual changes can lead to improved wellbeing and a renewed sense of vitality, creating beauty and balance from the inside out.
